Why Responsible Chemistry?
Chemistry is at the heart of many transformations shaping our future, from artificial intelligence and advanced medical technologies to climate resilience, circular production and the protection of cultural heritage. These developments create extraordinary opportunities. They also raise a fundamental question about how chemical knowledge and innovation are developed and applied responsibly.
Purpose of the pilot edition
The Pilot Symposium aims to bring together researchers, educators, professionals and stakeholders from different disciplines and countries for a one-day interaction on chemistry's emerging responsibilities in a complex, fast-changing world.
The five thematic sessions are intended to help identify emerging priorities, test an interdisciplinary and participatory format and build the community that will shape the first full international edition.
The shared approach
Listen · Contribute · Connect · Act. Interdisciplinary participation is particularly encouraged. The final roundtable will translate ideas emerging throughout the day into a shared Challenge → Responsibility → Action for each thematic area.
